October 22, 1997 -

Our friend Chris Hoelsher re-started the Dallas User Group (DCUF). The meeting was held at the CA offices. The topic of the meeting was Y2K. CA and HSL gave presentations various Y2K products.

Twenty three people attended the morning meeting. CA provided lunch. Thank you CA.

November 7, 8, 9 IUA Fall Planning Meeting in St. Louis -

Over twenty people attended the Central Pennsylvania IDMS User group meeting held in Harrisburg at the Holiday Inn. It had been over two years since the last meeting. The meeting was organized by Tom Bolton.

March 8 - 10, 1998 - Were YOU at the IUA Workshop in Orlando

If you missed the workshop - you lose. Over 200 people attended the spring workshop. The IUA was for both DBA's and Programmers. Although it was initially designed for IDMS "newbees" a number of "veterans" also attended. The cost was only $98, and a second person could come for FREE.

If you missed the spring workshop - don't despair

Due to the success of the spring workshop, the IUA has decided to hold a fall workshop in Boston. You had better not miss this one.

April 26 - May 1, 1998

This year CA World was as big as ever. Since the conference was held in April instead of July the temperature was MUCH COOLER. Attendence was estimated at about 25,000. This year World was run in conjunction with the annual Jazz festival. In fact CA was the official sponsor of the New Orleans Jazz festival.
